BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford soccer team fought to a 2-2 tie with the LSU Tigers Sunday afternoon at the Samford Track and Soccer Stadium.

With the result, Samford moves to 1-1-2 on the young season. LSU is now 2-1-1 on the season.

LSU scored the lone goal of the first half, on a goal by Tiana Caffey.
Samford tied the game with a Taylor Yount goal off a corner kick in the 49^th minute, and then took the lead on an own goal in the 54^th minute.
