Soccer Plays Auburn To 3-3 Tie

The Samford soccer team played Auburn to a 3-3 tie Sunday evening in Auburn, Ala.


Samford's record moves to 3-2-3 with the result. Auburn is now 3-3-1.

 

KEY PLAYS

·       Samford jumped out to a 2-0 lead with two first-half goals by Taylor Yount and Nikki Bario.

·       Auburn scored two late first-half goals to tie the score at 2-2 at halftime.

·       After Auburn took a 3-2 lead, Samford's Kyla Reynolds scored with less than a minute left in regulation to tie the game again and force overtime.

·       Samford goalkeeper Morgan McAslan recorded 12 saves, the most for a Samford goalkeeper since Alyssa Whitehead had 13 saves at Auburn in 2011.
