Soccer Opens SoCon Play With 1-1 Tie With Furman

The Samford soccer team opened Southern Conference play with a 1-1 tie with Furman Friday night at the Samford Track and Soccer Stadium.
 
With the result, Samford's record moves to 3-2-5 overall and 0-0-1 in SoCon play. Furman now has a record of 5-4-1 overall and 0-0-1 in league play. The result extends Samford's unbeaten streak in SoCon regular season games to 27 contests.
