CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Samford volleyball team earned a 3-1 (25-19, 24-26, 25-6, 25-17) win at The Citadel in Southern Conference action Saturday afternoon.

KEY MOMENTS

• In the first set, with the score tied, 19-19, Samford scored the final six points for a 25-19 win.
• In the second set, the teams were tied, 24-24, and The Citadel scored back-to-back points to take the 26-24 win.
• Samford led the entire way in the third set, pulling away for the 25-6 win.
• After Samford fell behind early in the fourth set, the Bulldogs stormed back to take a 20-10 lead and eventually a 25-17 win and a 3-1 match victory.

• Kelsi Hobbs led Samford with 18 kills and 15 digs.
• Lauren Deaton followed with 15 kills and 13 digs.
• Grace Tiesman added a team-high 18 digs.
• Corinne Meglic contributed 44 assists to the win.
