PALM CITY, Fla. – The Samford University men's golf team concluded play at the UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate on Sunday morning, firing a team-total 291 (+3) and finishing third overall at the 14-team event held at Martin Downs Golf Club.
It was a strong showing for the Bulldogs who are looking for more consistency in their spring slate during the 2020 campaign.
NOTABLES
- Wesley Heston notched a top-10 finish after firing a final round 72 (E). Heston secured three birdies on his back nine and finished the event in a tie for eighth place.
- It was another steady day for Alec Stopperich, who posted a 72 (E) and finished the tournament four-under par, good enough for a tie for 15th overall.
- Connor Reid earned a top-20 finish after shooting a final-round 76 (+4). Reid notched four birdies in his round and concluded the tournament tied for 20th.
- Brendan Reilly posted his best score of the weekend on Sunday. Reilly carded a 72 (E), finishing the invitational in a tie for 57th.
- Davis Woodliff shot a two-under par 34 on his back nine and finished with a 75 (+3) on the day. Woodliff concluded the tournament in a tie for 38th.
