NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Samford women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision at Tulane Sunday afternoon.
 
With the loss, Samford falls to 4-2 on the season. Tulane improves to 5-2 with the win.
 
Tulane took the doubles point, winning on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts to take the first point of the match. The No. 1 doubles match was unfinished.
 
In singles the teams split, with each squad winning three matches. Samford took wins on the No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 courts. Tulane won at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 to earn the 4-3 victory.
 
Samford will play at Ole Miss next Saturday, Feb. 15. The match is set for a 3 p.m. start from Oxford, Miss.
