HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Trojans opened the scoring in the top of the second inning after a leadoff double and a sacrifice fly to push across the game's only run. Â
- The Bulldogs had a few baserunners throughout the rest of the game, including a two-out double to center field from Ryan Brzozoski in the bottom of the seventh inning.
- The Bulldogs, howerver, were unable to push the run across and the game ended in a 1-0 Troy victory.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Emily Barnett (2-2) got the nod in the circle pitching a complete game in the loss giving up one run on three hits.
- Leanna Johnson (11-3) got the win for the Trojans giving up no runs on four hits with 11 strikeouts.
NOTABLESÂ
- Samford and Troy's game had been previously postponed twice due to weather.
- Three Bulldogs earned hits off Johnson: Brzozoski with two hits, Timberlyn Shurbutt and Whitney Hinton had one each.

- Samford will be back in action tomorrow at home against the Bryant Bulldogs at 3Â p.m. CST, before hosting the third tournament of the season hosting Austin Peay and North Alabama.
