Bulldog Track And Field Host Samford Invite At Birmingham Crossplex

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford track and field team wrapped up its first home indoor competition of the season Friday, at the Birmingham Crossplex.
The Bulldogs had two first place finishers in the field events with Megan Elliott taking the top spot in the women's high jump (1.64m) and freshman Jed Sisco finishing first in the men's pole vault (5.05m).
Samford claimed seven of the eight scoring positions in the women's pole vault with Jackie Barnes finishing second (3.55m) and Alexis Cook finishing third (3.55m).
Edwin Rainey showed there is no freshman curve needed with his second-place finish in the men's triple jump (14.07m) and a third-place finish in the men's long jump (6.74m).
