Women's Golf Set To Compete In Lady Red Wolves Classic

JONESBORO, Ark. – The Samford women's golf team will travel to Jonesboro, Ark., to compete in the Lady Red Wolves Classic, hosted by Arkansas State Monday and Tuesday at Sage Meadows Golf Club (par 72, 6,164 yards).

FOCAL POINT
- Samford returns after a couple of weeks off following its season-opening tournament.
- Samford placed sixth at the Hoover Invite Sept. 20-21.
BULLDOGS TO WATCH
- Samford's playing five for the tournament will be Bailey Dunstan, Sophie Membrino, Kelley Topiwala, Mary Kate Horton and Christian Williams.
- Allison Dusek will play as an individual, with her scores not counting toward the team total.
- Dunstan leads the team with a 73.00 stroke average in three rounds of golf.
- Dusek ranks second on the squad with a 74.67 average, followed by Horton at 76.33.
NEWS & NOTES
- A total of 16 teams will compete in the tournament.
- Samford will be joined in the field by Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, Troy, South Alabama, Lipscomb, Eastern Kentucky, Southern Mississippi, Memphis, Austin Peay, Southern Illinois, UT Arlington, Tarleton State, Stephen F. Austin, Washington-St. Louis and an Arkansas State "B" team.
- The teams will play 36 holes Monday and 18 holes Tuesday.
