ATLANTA, Ga. – The Samford men's golf team tied for seventh out of 15 teams at the Georgia State Invitational, played at Berkeley Hills Country Club (par 72, 6,706 yards) Monday and Tuesday.
As a team, Samford shot a three-round score of 867 (289-291-287), tying the Bulldogs with Old Dominion for seventh. Wright State won the event, firing a total score of 846 (285-286-275).
Samford was led in the tournament by
Brian Boles with a final score of 215 (75-71-69), tying him for 16
th in the 85-player field.
Andrew Sullivan tied for 22
nd at 216 (70-74-72), while
Davis Woodliff tied for 27
th with a three-round total of 217 (71-72-74).
Thomas Giroux of Oakland took individual medalist honors. Giroux posted a score of 204 (68-66-70).
Samford will next be in action Oct. 18-19 at the Pine Tree Invitational, hosted by Kennesaw State.
