Women’s Golf Finishes Fall Season At Mercer Invitational

MACON, Ga. – The Samford women's golf team placed eighth in the Mercer Invitational, hosted by Mercer University Monday and Tuesday at Brickyard Golf Club (Par 72, 6,171 yards).

As a team, Samford finished with a three-round score of 913 (299-310-304). Mercer won the event with a final score of 882 (301-291-290).

Individually for Samford, Bailey Dunstan led the way, tying for fifth place with a score of 220 (70-72-78). Kelley Topiwala tied for 20^th at 227 (76-77-74), while Sophie Membrino tied for 23^rd with a three-round score of 228 (74-80-74).

The tournament wrapped up the fall portion of Samford's 2021-22 schedule. The Bulldogs will open the spring season Feb. 7-8 at the Lady Bison Classic in Panama City, Fla.
