BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford volleyball team continued its hot stream with a 3-1 (25-15, 25-20, 22-25, 25-21) win over Wofford Sunday afternoon at the Pete Hanna Center.
 
With the win, Samford improves to 4-1 on the season, all in Southern Conference play. Wofford falls to 2-1, also all in league play, with the loss.

• Lauren Deaton led Samford with 20 kills.
• Sarah Hayes Farley had 15 kills and 12 digs.
• Emily Naubert led the Bulldogs in digs with 17.
• Andie Salasky had 13 digs for Samford.

• Wofford was led by Millie Loehr with nine kills.

• In the first set, Samford jumped out to a 9-3 lead on a kill by Farley.
• Samford extended its lead to 12-5.
• The Bulldogs took an 18-10 lead on a kill by Deaton.
• Samford took the first set by a score of 25-14.
• The second set was tight early on, with Wofford taking an 11-10 lead.
• Samford, however, went on a 7-1 run to take a 17-12 lead.
• With Samford leading, 24-16, Wofford scored the next four points to cut the lead to 24-20.
• Samford won the second set, 25-20.
• In the third set, Wofford took a 10-8 lead.
• Samford, however, answered with a 6-0 run to take a 14-10 advantage.
• Wofford fought back to take a 22-19 lead.
• The Terriers took the third set, 25-22.
• Samford built a 14-10 lead in the fourth set.
• With Samford leading, 19-17, the Bulldogs scored the next four points to take a 23-17 lead.
• Samford took the fourth set, 25-21, and the match, three sets to one.
