BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford soccer team fell to SEC opponent Ole Miss, 1-0, in the first road contest of the 2021 season Thursday night at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.

With the loss, the Bulldogs now move to an overall record of 0-1-1, while the Rebels improved their record to 5-5-0 on the season.
KEY PLAYS
- Morgan McAslan had a key save in the final two minutes of the first half to keep the game scoreless headed into the break.
- Alyssa Frazier had a shot on goal at the start of the second off a free kick, but Ole Miss's goalkeeper, Ashley Orkus tucked it in for a save.
- Mary Raymond and Layla Brown both had opportunities in front of goal 15 minutes into the second half, but their shots were blocked by the Rebel backline.
- Lindsay Origliasso had a backline save in front of goal to keep the game tied at 0-0 in the last 18 minutes of the game.
