BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After back-to-back sweeps this past weekend, the Samford men's tennis team will now head to Tampa, Florida to compete against USF on Saturday, Mar. 13 at 9 a.m. at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
 
With the wins, the Bulldogs now have an overall record of 6-5, while USF currently sits at 6-2 on its season. The Bulls will compete against Liberty and Georgia State before facing Samford on their home courts.

• This will be the first meeting between the two teams.

 BULLDOGS TO WATCH:

• Tomas Santantonio and Eladio Fabregas have the most wins for the Bulldogs this season with seven each in singles competition. Santantonio has competed at four different spots for Samford, collecting the most wins at the No. 5 spot with a total of four. Fabregas has also competed at four different spots for the Bulldogs with four of his seven wins coming from the No. 3 spot.
• Doubles duo, Victor Chaw and Jim Hendrix have kept a perfect 7-0 record with six wins coming from the No. 1 spot and one from the No. 2 spot.
• Partners, Eladio Fabregas and Tomas Santantonio, have also yet to see a loss in doubles action with an overall record of 6-0 with all wins coming from the No. 2 spot.

OPPONENT QUICK LOOKS:

• USF has seen positive results so far this season with a current record of 6-2. The only two losses the Bulls have seen are from fellow schools in the Sunshine State, UCF and Florida. USF was defeated by both schools by a final score of 6-1.
•  Chase Ferguson is a top competitor for USF with an overall record of 9-2 at the No. 1 spot (matches through Mar. 11, 2020). Sergio Gomez has yet to see a loss for USF with a perfect record of 5-0 with two wins at the No. 5 spot and three at the No. 6 spot.
• In doubles action, Pierre Luquet and Chase Ferguson have captured nine wins and two losses, while Rithvik and Niels Van Noord sit at 5-4 at the No. 1 spot.
