Stuckey earns All-America Honors at NCAA Championships

Fayetteville, Ark. – Samford track and field junior, Justin Stuckey, named an NCAA All-American at the 2021 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, Friday.
Stuckey was coming off a career best performance at the 2021 Southern Conference Indoor Championships, where he won the SoCon title in the men's high jump with a leap of 2.17 meters, setting a new career best and qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
Stuckey cleared the first two heights, 2.08 meters and 2.13 meters, in the men's high jump final with ease on his first attempt. When the bar was raised to 2.18 meters Stuckey posted a new personal best, clearing the 2.18 meters on his first attempt, locked in a tie for first place. He was unable to clear the next progression of 2.21 meters, finishing the day with a new personal best and school record (2.18 meters) and garnering All-America honors, placing sixth in the men's high jump finals.
Stuckey was also named the Southern Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Month earlier Friday when the league office released the complete list of honorees.
