BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-20) win over Furman Sunday afternoon in the Pete Hanna Center.
The win is Samford's ninth-straight victory and improves the Bulldogs' season record to 10-1. Furman falls to 4-7 with the loss.

- In the first set, Samford raced out to a commanding 14-4 lead.
- The Bulldogs pushed their lead to 24-10.
- Samford took the first set by a score of 25-12.
- After falling behind, 3-1 in the second set, Samford went on a 7-0 run to take an 8-3 lead.
- Samford stretched its lead to 15-8.
- The Bulldogs led by as many as 12 points in the second set, and the team won the set by a score of 25-13.
- In the third set, Furman jumped out to an 11-6 lead.
- Samford came back to cut the lead to 12-11.
- With Samford trailing, 14-11, the Bulldogs went on a 6-1 run to take a 17-15 lead.
- With Samford leading, 22-20, the Bulldogs scored the final three points to take the set, 25-20 and the match, three sets to none.
