CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Samford volleyball team earned its 11
th-straight victory with a 3-1 (25-15, 26-28, 27-25, 25-20) win at Chattanooga Sunday afternoon.
With the win, Samford improves to 12-1, all in Southern Conference play. Chattanooga falls to 5-10 overall and 3-10 in SoCon play.

- In the first set, Samford jumped out to a commanding 12-4 lead.
- Samford led by as many as 11 points in the first set, and the Bulldogs took the set, 25-15.
- Chattanooga jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the second set.
- With Samford trailing, 24-21, the Bulldogs came back to tie the score at 25-25.
- With the score knotted at 26-26, Chattanooga scored the next two points to take the set, 28-26.
- The third set was also tight throughout.
- With Samford trailing, 20-15, the Bulldogs battled back to tie the set at 24-24.
- With the set tied at 25-25, back-to-back kills by Sierra Rayzor gave Samford the 27-25 win.
- Chattanooga led, 11-7, in the fourth set.
- Samford fought back to take a 17-15 lead.
- The Bulldogs built a six-point lead at 23-17.
- Samford won the fourth set, 25-20, and the match, three sets to one.
NEXT UP
Samford and Chattanooga will play again Monday. The match is set for a 3 p.m. (CT) start from Chattanooga, Tenn. If Samford can pull out a win, the Bulldogs will clinch at least a share of the SoCon regular-season title.
