Women’s Tennis Has Strong Showing At First Samford Round Robin

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis team hosted the first of two Samford Round Robins this weekend at the Samford Tennis Center.

Samford was joined in the event by Central Arkansas, Lipscomb and South Alabama. In singles, Samford players posted a combined record of 16-8. On the doubles side, Samford duos finished with an overall mark of 7-5.

Individually, Samantha Nanere posted a record of 3-0. Samantha Maras went 2-0, while Rouxanne Janse Van Rensburg, Lindsay Song, Sofia Zaprianov and Ally Hayduk each finished with a record of 2-1.

In doubles, Zaprianov and Olivia Jablonski posted a record of 3-0. Hayduk and Lauren Waddles went 2-0 in doubles.

Samford will next be in action when the Bulldogs host a second Samford Round Robin, Oct. 8-10. A full list of Samford's results from this weekend is below.
