Samford Players To Compete In ITA All-Americans And Samford Fall Invite This Weekend

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Members of the Samford men's tennis team will compete in the second Samford Fall Invite, while two others compete in the ITA All-Americans this weekend.
Jim Hendrikx, who is ranked 96th nationally, will compete in the singles competition at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., this weekend. Hendrikx and Eladio Fabregas, who, together, are ranked 54th in doubles, will compete in the doubles competition.
Pre-qualifying for the ITA All-Americans is set for Oct. 2 and 3, with the qualifying rounds scheduled for Oct. 4 and 5, and the main draw set for Oct. 6-10. For live streaming and live scoring, click on the following link: ITA ALL-AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS HOME PAGE.
The Samford Fall Invite will take place Friday through Sunday at the Samford University Tennis Center. Samford will be joined in the tournament by UAB, Florida State, Lipscomb, South Alabama and Louisiana-Lafayette. Play will start with doubles each morning at 9 a.m., with singles to follow.
Admission to the Samford Fall Invite is free. A full recap and results will be posted to www.samfordsports.com after the final match on Sunday.
