GREENSBORO, N.C. – Samford senior
Davis Woodliff tied for fifth, and the Bulldog men's golf team placed ninth in the Grandover Collegiate, hosted by UNC Greensboro, Saturday and Sunday at Grandover Resort and Conference Center (Par 72, 6,800 yards).
As a team, Samford shot a three-round score of 880 (296-300-284), placing ninth out of 16 teams. UNC Greensboro won the event with a score of 826 (275-274-277).
Woodliff shot a three-round score of six-under-par 210 (71-69-70) to tie for fifth in the 109-player field.
Andrew Sullivan tied for 38
th at 221 (73-76-72), while
Craig Sanders tied for 53
rd with a score of 224 (76-75-73).
Brian Boles tied for 59
th with a final score of 225 (76-80-69). Damin Strydom placed 106
th with a score of 248 (84-83-81).
Dylan Moncus, playing as an individual, tied for 81
st at 229 (76-78-75).
A list of Samford's players' scores is below. The tournament wraps up the fall season for the Bulldogs. Samford will open the spring season by competing in the Advanced Partners Intercollegiate, Feb. 13-15.
