SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford's
Jed Sisco was named the Southern Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week when the league released its weekly track and field awards Wednesday afternoon.
In the South Alabama Invite last weekend at the Birmingham Crossplex, Sisco had an impressive performance in the men's pole vault. The sophomore from Morrow, Ohio, placed second with a vault of 5.07 meters in the event.
Samford will host the Bulldog Invite and Bulldog Open this weekend at the Birmingham Crossplex. Some members of the team will also compete in the Indoor Music City Challenge in Nashville this weekend.
