Women’s Golf Places Eighth At SoCon Championships

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Samford women's golf team placed eighth at the 2022 Southern Conference Championships, held Sunday through Tuesday at the Barefoot-Dye Course (Par 72, 6,004 yards).
Samford finished with a three-round team score of 926 (311-306-309) to finish eighth in the event. Furman won the tournament with a final score of 899 (293-303-303).
For Samford individually, Kelley Topiwala tied for 11th with a three-round score of 226 (76-76-74), while Sophie Membrino had a score of 228 (74-78-76), tying her for 13th in the tournament. Bailey Dunstan placed 27th with a final tally of 234 (83-76-75).
Christian Williams placed 36th with a final score of 240 (78-78-84). Mary Kate Horton came in 38th with a three-round total of 245 (83-76-86).
