BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team earned a 5-2 Southern Conference win over Wofford Sunday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Center.
 
With the win, Samford improves to 4-12 overall and 2-3 in Southern Conference play. Wofford falls to 8-11 overall and 2-3 in league action.
 
Samford won the doubles matches on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts to earn the first point of the match.
 
In singles, Samford won on the No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 courts to secure the 5-2 win. At No. 1 singles, Mohammed Ali Bellalouna defeated Ashe Ray, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. On the No. 2 singles court, Jim Hendrikx earned a 6-3, 6-2 win over Callum Rendle.
 
At No. 3 singles, Eladio Fabregas defeated Robert Young, 6-4, 1-6, 6-2. At No. 5 singles, J.B. Pickard defeated Alex Horn, 1-6, 6-4, 7-5
 
The Bulldogs will play at Chattanooga on Saturday, April 9. The match is set for a 2 p.m. (CT) start from Chattanooga, Tenn.
