PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The Samford men's golf team shot the second lowest score to move from sixth to tie for third in the second round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge Monday at the True Blue Course (Par 72, 6,921 yards).
As a team, Samford shot a 10-under-par 278 on Monday, for a two-round score of 563 (285-278). Jacksonville State currently leads the tournament with a score of 558 (283-275).
Individually for Samford,
Brian Boles fired a five-under-par 67 to tie for fourth in the 76-player field with a two-round total of 137 (70-67).
Andrew Sullivan (72-70) and Matthew Smith (73-69) are both tied for 19
th at 142.
Craig Sanders is tied for 24
th with a score of 143 (71-72), while
Dylan Moncus is tied for 27
th at 144 (72-72).
Matthew Madden played as an individual, with his score not counting towards the team total, and he is currently tied for 69
th with a score of 154 (73-81).
