Box Score TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team opened its spring season with a 7-0 loss at Alabama Saturday afternoon.
Alabama took the first point of the match, earning the doubles point. The Crimson Tide won at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles positions, while the match at No. 2 doubles was not finished, giving Alabama a 1-0 lead.
The Crimson Tide then swept all six singles matches to complete the 7-0 win.
Samford will play at Auburn on Thursday, Jan. 19. The match is set for a 2 p.m. start from Auburn, Ala.
