PALM CITY, Fla. – The Samford men's golf team fired a one-under-par score of 287 in Tuesday's final round as the Bulldogs tied for sixth at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate, hosted by UNC Greensboro, Sunday through Tuesday at Hammock Creek Golf Club (Par 72, 7,169 yards).
 
As a team, Samford shot a three-round score of 881 (301-293-287) to tie with Valparaiso for sixth place out of 19 teams. Drexel won the event with a final tally of 863 (293-287-283).
 
Individually for Samford, freshman 
Matthew Smith placed fourth out of 119 golfers with a three-round total of three-under-par 213 (72-71-70). 
Davis Woodliff tied for 28
th with a score of 222 (75-76-71), while 
Brian Boles tied for 33
rd at 223 (76-73-74). 
Andrew Sullivan tied for 50
th with a final score of 226 (81-73-72), and 
Craig Sanders tied for 104
th at 239 (78-79-82).
 
Samford will next compete in the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate, Feb. 19-21 in Hilton Head, S.C.
