HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Samford men's golf team placed fifth at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate, held Monday and Tuesday at Wexford Plantation (Par 72, 6,913 yards).
As a team, Samford shot a three-round score of 887 (291-299-297), placing fifth out of 18 teams. South Carolina-Aiken won the event with a final score of 879 (293-289-297).
Individually for Samford,
Andrew Sullivan tied for fifth in the 90-player field. He finished with a three-round total of 218 (71-76-71).
Davis Woodliff also posted a top-10 finish, tying for eighth with a score of 219 (71-75-73).
Matthew Smith tied for 28
th at 226 (74-74-78), while
Brian Boles tied for 35
th at 228 (75-74-79).
Dylan Moncus tied for 56
th with a final score of 232 (77-80-75).
Samford will next compete in the Cleveland/Srixon Palmetto Invitational, Mar. 5-7 in Aiken, S.C.
