SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Sophomore Sandeep Mohandoss of the Samford Men's Tennis Team has been named the Southern Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
 
Mohandoss (Chennai, India) posted a perfect week in single's action playing out of the No. 3 flight, earning a 6-3, 6-2 win against South Alabama Friday and a 7-6 (9-7), 3-6, 6-1 win against North Alabama Sunday.
 
In doubles play, Mohandoss won 6-2 against North Alabama with partner Maxwell Giddens playing out of the No. 1 flight. The duo battled to a 5-5 unfinished result against South Alabama Friday in the No. 1 spot.
 
The men's tennis team will return to the court on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Southern Miss. First serve from Hattiesburg, Miss. is slated for 12:00 p.m. (CST).
