GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Samford women's tennis team earned an impressive 7-0 Southern Conference win at UNC Greensboro Friday afternoon.
 
With the win, Samford improves to 12-6 overall and 4-2 in Southern Conference play. UNCG falls to 5-14 overall and 0-6 in league action.
 
Samford took the doubles point by winning on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts. At No. 1, Samantha Nanere and Lindsay Song defeated Arina Babkova and Alexandra Dodashev, 6-0. On the No. 3 doubles court, Olivia Jablonski and Cameron Rogin defeated Olivia Gallagher and Raegan Mitchell, 7-5.
 
Samford then swept all six singles matches for the 7-0 win. At the No. 1 position, Lopez defeated Dodashev, 6-3, 6-2. On the No. 2 singles court, Ally Hayduk earned a 6-2, 6-3 win over Hanna Giddings. At No. 3 singles, Song defeated Juliana Craft, 6-4, 6-3.
 
On the No. 4 court, Nanere defeated Gallagher, 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-7).  At No. 5, Rogin earned a 1-6, 6-1, 6-3 win over Mitchell. On the No. 6 singles court, Jablonski picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win over Luna Urso.
 
Samford will wrap up its regular season with a match at Western Carolina on Saturday, April 15. The match is set for a 12 p.m. (CT) start from Cullowhee, N.C.
