MACON, Ga. – The Samford men's tennis team dropped its regular-season finale at Mercer, 5-2, Saturday afternoon.
 
With the loss, Samford falls to 10-10 overall and 5-2 in Southern Conference play. Mercer improves to 11-12 overall and 5-2 in league play.
 
In doubles, Samford won at No. 1, with Mohammed Ali Bellalouna and Sandeep Mohandoss defeating Lucas Dini and Samuel MacLeod, 6-3. Mercer, however, won at No. 2 and No. 3 to take the doubles point.
 
In singles, Samford won at No. 1 and No. 2, but Mercer won at the other four positions for the 5-2 win. At No. 1 Bellalouna defeated Mariano Argote, 0-6, 6-1, 6-1. On the No. 2 singles court, Mohandoss defeated Dini, 6-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).
