GREENSBORO, Ga. – The Samford men's golf team wrapped up its 2022-23 season with an eighth-place finish at the 2023 Southern Conference Championship, held Sunday through Tuesday at the Oconee Course at Reynolds Plantation (Par 72, 7,393 yards).
The Bulldogs finished the event with a three-round score of 884 (294-295-295), placing eighth. ETSU won the tournament with a final score of 834 (274-281-279).
Individually for Samford,
Brian Boles (69-78-72) and
Andrew Sullivan (73-72-74) both tied for 22
nd in the 40-player field with identical scores of 219.
Davis Woodliff tied for 31
st with a three-round score of 222 (75-72-75), while
Matthew Smith placed 35
th at 226 (77-74-75).
Damin Strydom was the substitute for the first round, but played in the final two rounds, finishing with a score of 151 (77-74), placing him 40
th.
