SoCon Schedule Announced For Women’s Basketball

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its league lineup for the 2023-24 women's basketball season on Thursday afternoon.

Samford opens the 14-game SoCon slate on the road for the first time since 2020 as the Bulldogs head to ETSU (Jan. 11) and Chattanooga (Jan. 13) on opening weekend. The Bulldogs welcome the Catamounts of Western Carolina to the Pete Hanna Center on Jan. 18 for the home conference opener followed by a showdown with the Spartans of UNCG on Jan. 25. The month of January concludes with a trip to South Carolina for games with Furman (Jan. 25) and Wofford (1/27).

As the calendar turns to February, Samford plays host to Mercer (Feb. 3), Chattanooga (Feb. 8) and ETSU (Feb. 10) for the longest homestand of SoCon play. The final trip to the Carolinas for the season commences with a matchup at UNCG (Feb. 15) before the Bulldogs make the return trip to Western Carolina (Feb. 17). Samford closes out the home regular season schedule with games against Wofford (Feb. 22) and Furman (Feb. 24) before concluding the regular season at Mercer on March 2.

The 2024 Ingles Southern Conference Basketball Championship will take place at Harrah's Cherokee Center – Asheville in Asheville, N.C., from March 7-10.
