BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford softball program has set its season slate for the 2025 campaign. Under the leadership of Megan Curry in her first season as the head coach of Samford, the Bulldogs have a 56-game slate that will see them compete at home 19 times throughout the season.

The Bulldogs start off their season with a handful of multi-day tournaments. Their season begins on Feb. 8 against North Texas and Central Michigan at a tournament hosted by Troy. The Dogs played at home for the first time on Feb. 15 & 16 at a tournament where they host UAB and Indiana State. Samford also competes in pre-conference tournaments hosted by Florida, Ole Miss, and North Alabama.
The Dogs are set to compete in the SoCon portion of their slate as they take on the other seven conference sides in a three-game series. The Bulldogs are set to host Mercer, ETSU, Furman, and Wofford while they go to the top two sides in the league last season Chattanooga and UNCG. Another highlight of the schedule includes the Bulldogs hosting Alabama on March 4.
Samford brings back the top-five hitters in their lineup from last season.
McKayla Cothran led the team in average and hits with .349 and 68 respectively.
Logan Champion,
Sarah Squillace, and
Olivia Shaw all return and hit over .300 last year, while
Katie Campbell brought the power in the Bulldogs lineup last year, hitting 15 home runs, leading the team with 56 RBIs and carrying an OPS of .991. In the circle, they return
Jordyn Partain and
Sara Bond who appeared in the most games last season among all pitchers.
The final series of the season at home is when Samford hosts the Terriers on May 3-4 followed by the Bulldogs making the return trip SoCon Conference Tournament hosted by Wofford on May 6-11.
