GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Samford women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at Furman Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, Samford fell to 3-10 overall and 0-2 in Southern Conference play. Furman improved to 5-10 overall and 1-0 in league action.
Samford's lone point in the match came from
Ally Hayduk at the No. 3 singles position. Hayduk earned a 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8) win over Ellie Schulson. Furman, however, won at the other five singles positions and took the doubles point for the 6-1 win.
Samford will next host Western Kentucky on Friday, March 22. The match is set for a 1:30 p.m. start from the Samford Tennis Center.
