Box Score STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Samford men's tennis team opened the 2025 spring season with a 7-0 loss at 11^th-ranked Mississippi State Sunday afternoon.
 
Mississippi State won on the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles courts to take the first point of the match. The match at No. 2 doubles was not finished.
 
Mississippi State then won all six singles matches to take the match by a final score of 7-0.
 
Samford will next play at Troy on Friday, Jan. 17. The match is set for a 1 p.m. start.
