SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford graduate forward
Annie Ramil was named the Southern Conference Player of the Week when the league released its weekly women's basketball awards Tuesday afternoon.
In Samford's lone game last week, Ramil posted a double-double in leading the Bulldogs to a win over Berry College. In the victory, Ramil scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She made 6-of-10 shots from the floor and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.
For the season, Ramil is averaging 8.6 points per game, and she ranks second on the team with an average of 6.7 rebounds per contest. Saturday's performance marked her second double-double of the season.
