Bulldogs Close Out 2025 By Hosting Reinhardt

GAME NOTES -- REINHARDT VS. SAMFORD (12/19)

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford men's basketball team plays its final game of the 2025 calendar year as it hosts NAIA Reinhardt University in the Pete Hanna Center. The game is scheduled to tip at noon as the Bulldogs enter the game with a 6-6 record while Reinhardt enters with a 5-9 record.

The Bulldogs and the Eagles are facing each other for their second all-time meeting, with Samford winning the previous matchup 89-61 in the 2007-08 season. The Dogs are coming off a 106-51 home victory against Bryan College on Monday afternoon. Samford made a season-high 18 threes in their win over the Lions, shooting 47 percent from the field.

The Bulldogs were led by Jadin Booth, who scored 19 points in just 21 minutes of action, going 6-of-9 from three in the game. Dylan Faulkner continued his strong play by scoring 16 points and pulling down 8 rebounds as he was needed for just 15 minutes. He has scored over 15 points in four straight games. Four Bulldogs scored in double-figures, with Cade Norris and Kam Martin scoring 13 and 10 points, respectively. The Bulldogs were able to go deep into their bench as Caleb Harrison, Will Shaver, and Zach Lamey all had career-highs against Bryan.

Samford gets its record back to .500 for the first time since they were 4-4 after a win over Georgia State in Mexico. The Reinhardt game marks the final non-conference game of the season for the Bulldogs as they open SoCon play at VMI after the new year.

Reinhardt enters the game with a 5-9 record on the season. The Eagles fell to Augusta in an exhibition game against Division II Augusta. They won their previous game at home against CIU (SC) 95-80. Head coach Richard Morgan is in his first season with the Eagles, after spending 2009-25 as the head coach at Bluefield University. Reinhardt was picked to finish seventh in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. The Eagles are led by Tee Williams, who is averaging 16.7 points per game.
