BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford softball team has finalized its schedule for the upcoming 2026 season. The Bulldogs will face a 57-game schedule that includes 18 games on their home field.
The Bulldogs open their season on Feb. 5 at the Florida State Tournament. They face the Seminoles, Marshall, and Georgia State in Tallahassee before returning home to host the Samford Tournament on Feb. 13-15. The Dogs face Lindenwood, Belmont, and North Alabama in Birmingham.
Samford faces a handful of SEC opponents in their non-conference slate, including at Georgia on Feb. 18, before heading to a two-day Mississippi State Tournament. Their longest trip of the season sees the Bulldogs travel to Oregon from Feb. 26-Mar. 1 where they face the hosts, Stetson, and Idaho State.
The final non-conference tournament of the season is the South Alabama Tournament, where they face New Mexico, South Alabama, and Mississippi State. The Dogs face Jacksonville State, Troy, Alabama State, and a home-and-home with Alabama that sees the Crimson Tide come to Birmingham on April 14th.
The Bulldogs open Southern Conference play on March 21-22 at Mercer and have Chattanooga, Western Carolina, and UNCG come to Birmingham during the season. The year ends at the Southern Conference Tournament in Chattanooga on May 6-9.
Samford is coming off a 33-23 season under the leadership of head coach Megan Curry. They went 12-7 in SoCon play and had a 13-4 record in home as they finished third in the tournament last year. They have to replace top pitcher
Jordyn Partain, as well as three of their top hitters from last season, but they return the heart of their lineup in
Joi Hubbard,
Katie Campbell, and
Olivia Shaw.
