FLORENCE, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team had its nine-match win streak snapped in a 5-2 loss at North Alabama Sunday afternoon.
 
With the loss, Samford fell to 9-3 on the season. North Alabama improved its record to 4-2 with the win.
 
In doubles, North Alabama won on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts to secure the first point of the match. The doubles contest at No. 3 was not finished.
 
In singles, Samford earned wins at No. 1 and No. 2, but UNA took the matches at No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 to finish off the 5-2 win. At No. 1 singles, Sandeep Mohandoss defeated Lachlan Brain, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3. On the No. 2 singles court, Darcy Nicholls defeated Nazar Fedoryshyn, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
 
Next up, Samford will host Georgia Southern on Saturday, March 1. The match is set for a 12 p.m. start from the Samford Tennis Center.
