SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford's
Sandeep Mohandoss was named the Southern Conference Player of the Week when the league released its weekly men's tennis awards Tuesday afternoon.
In Samford's 7-0 Southern Conference win at Wofford on Sunday, Mohandoss went 2-0, posting wins in both singles and doubles.
In singles, playing at the No. 1 position, Mohandoss defeated Robbie Young, 6-4, 6-3. In doubles, he and partner,
Santiago Arredondo defeated Hugo Rask and Ian Rasheed, 6-0, on the No. 2 court.
For the season, Mohandoss has a singles record of 11-3, all at the No. 1 position. In doubles, he has a mark of 10-4.
Next up, Samford will play at Furman this afternoon. The match is set for a 2 p.m. (CT) start from Greenville, S.C.
