BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford soccer team battled the Belmont Bruins to a 0-0 draw Thursday evening at E.S. Rose Park.
With the result, Samford's record moved to 3-2-2 on the season. Belmont is now 2-1-4 on the season.
The result marks the fourth-straight shutout for the Samford defense. The unit held Belmont to just three shots on the night. Goalkeeper
Peyton Hull saved three shots without allowing a goal.
Offensively for Samford, the Bulldogs tallied 14 shots, with nine shots coming on goal.

Abby Wooten,
Brooklyn Miller and
Mamie Carman had two shots each to lead the Bulldogs.
For Belmont, goalkeeper Syndey Jones saved eight shots in the contest. Olivia Walker, Megan Miller and Meredith Koltz tallied one shot each for the Bruins.
Next up, Samford will wrap up the non-conference portion of its schedule by playing at cross-town rival UAB Sunday evening. The game is set for a 7 p.m. start from PNC Field.
