BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Samford volleyball team earned its fifth win of the 2026 season, completing the weekend sweep over ETSU 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-16, 25-22) on Friday evening at the Pete Hanna Center.

With the win, Samford improves to 5-7 on the season and 2-0 in SoCon action, while ETSU falls to 2-11 and 0-2 in SoCon action.

Senior outside hitter Ally Cordes posted a double-double for the Bulldogs with 20 kills and 11 digs with a hitting percentage of .340. Redshirt Freshman setter Alison Ohlinger also posted a double-double with 42 assist's and 12 digs. Freshman middle blocker Hazel Slusher followed behind with 12 kills on a hitting percentage of .318 and a team leading nine blocks.

For ETSU, Karis Chatfield had 18 kills and nine digs. Makalya Bays posted a double-double with 14 kills and 14 digs.

The Bulldogs continue conference play next week at Western Carolina on Thursday, Oct.1. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m.
