Biography
2012 (Junior): Indoor: Competed in six meets in the high jump … hit a season-best mark of 5-5.75 (1.67m) in a third-place showing at the Birmingham Ice Breaker. Outdoor: Competed in eight meets … tied for second place at the SoCon Championships (5-5, 1.65m) … set a new school record of 5-8.75 (1.75m) at the Samford Multi … finished no lower than seventh all season … earned wins at the Tiger Track Classic (5-5, 1.65m) and BSU Invitational (5-5.75, 1.67m).
2011 (Sophomore): Indoor: Competed in five meets ... finished runner-up at the SoCon Championships in the high jump, clearing 5-7 (1.70m) ... won the high jump at the Niswonger Invite and the Tiger Tune Up, clearing 5-7 (1.70m) each time ... set a school record in the season-opening Blue Raider Invite, winning the high jump with aheight of 5-10 (1.77m) ... placed second at the JRF Combined meet (5-7, 1.70m). Outdoor: Competed in five meets ... earned a silver medal at the conference championship meet, finishing second in the high jump, tying her own school-record height of 5-7 (1.70m) ... also cleared 5-7 (1.70m) at the Tiger Track Classic and the Penn Relays ... placed second at the FSU Twilight meet (5-5.25, 1.66m) and third at the Seminole Invite (5-5, 1.65m).
2010 (Freshman): Indoor: Concentrated on the high jump as a true freshman...began the season at the Niswonger Invitational (Jan. 22-23) where she tied for sixth with a height of 5-3.25...placed fourth at the MTSU Invitational with a height of 5-1...took third place with a personal best of 5-7 at the Tiger Paw Invitational (Feb. 12-13)...earned All-Freshman honors with a second place finish at the SoCon Indoor Championship (Feb. 26-27) with a height of 5-6. Outdoor: Placed second with a mark of 5-3.36 in her first outdoor competition at the BSC Invitational (March 13)...set a personal best of 5-7 took take seventh place at the Alabama Relays (March 25-28)...tied for sixth at the Tiger Track Classic (April 2-3) with a height of 5-5.75...placed fifth with a mark of 5-3.25 at the Ole Miss Invitational (April 10) before earning All-Freshman honors with a first-place finish at the SoCon Outdoor Championships (April 23-24), matching her personal best of 5-7...finished the season with a sixth place finish at the Georgia Invitational with a mark of 5-5.25.
High School: Tennessee State Champion in the high jump ... also played volleyball for Brentwood Academy ... named Most Improved on her volleyball team ... also received the Speech Award and the African American History Award.
