SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

My favorite Samford memory is:
My favorite Samford memory is definitely winning the SoCon Tournament my sophomore year and how the team gave God the glory after the game. However, it also includes everything that led up the championship game. My freshmen year we lost the championship game in the SoCon Tournament. I thought it was very special to see how everyone was focused and worked hard, to make sure that it did not happen again. It was great to see how our hard work paid off the following year both by winning the regular season and the SoCon Tournament, and thereby going to the NCAA Tournament.

The one thing I’ll miss most about Samford soccer is:
My teammates and coaches. We really are a family that encourages and cares about each other. I’ve loved playing soccer and spending time with these amazing girls and coaches.

The most important thing I can tell incoming freshmen is:
Enjoy the time that you are here because it really flies by. Give everything you’ve got on the field during every game and every practice. Never give up when things get hard, take one day at a time and you’ll see that hard work pays off. Be confident and have fun!
