2017 (Junior): Started all 61 games, 60 in center field and one at designated player ... named first team All-SoCon and third team NFCA All-Region ... led the SoCon with a .423 batting average ... set a Samford record with 90 hits ... at the conclusion of Samford’s season, her 90 hits led the nation, and ranked fourth nationally after the NCAA softball season ended ... tallied 29 multi-hit games ... tied a school record and ranked third in the SoCon with 22 stolen bases ... had seven hits in a season-opening tournament at Louisiana Tech ... went 4-for-5 with a triple against Longwood ... had a 3-for-4 performance with two stolen bases at Troy ... tallied eight hits in five games at the Samford/UAB Invitational ... went 4-for-4 against UMass ... went 3-for-4 in each of three-straight games against Tennessee State, Western Kentucky and Western Illinois ... went 7-for-10 in the team’s first SoCon series against Furman ... went 3-for-7 in game three at Chattanooga ... went 3-for-8 in two games at Tennessee Tech ... collected five hits in three games against Mercer ... went 3-for-3 with an RBI in game two at Western Carolina ... went 2-for-4 in a SoCon Tournament win over Chattanooga ... went 2-for-3 with two RBI in a win over Mercer in the SoCon Tournament ... named to the All-SoCon Tournament team after collecting seven hits in Samford’s five games in the tournament.

2016 (Sophomore): Played in 57 games with 56 total starts for the Bulldogs…led the SoCon during conference play with eight stolen bases and swiped a total of 21 on the year…batted .383 with 72 hits, nine doubles, and a pair of home runs…tallied a total of nine sacrifice hits and one sacrifice fly while she drew nine walks and was hit by a pitch twice…drove in 24 runs and crossed home plate 42 times…notched 94 putouts and four assists for a .970 fielding percentage…recorded a career-high four hits and three RBIs against Western Kentucky on April 23.

2015 (Freshman): Played in 55 games with 54 starts in her freshman campaign for the Bulldogs…ranked second on the team with 63 total hits, a .350 batting average and 30 runs scored…led the team with 15 stolen bases, out of 16 attempts, and eight sacrifice hits…tallied six doubles, two triples, was responsible for 13 RBIs and 73 total bases….recorded 48 putouts and five assists with five errors to equate for a .914 fielding percentage…recorded her first career hit in her first collegiate start against Miami (Ohio) on Feb. 6, which went for a double…tallied a nine-game hit streak and notched 13 multi-hit games.

High School: Played for her father, Shawn Maze at Mortimer Jordan High School ... also participated in volleyball and indoor track in high school.

Personal: Full name is Shelby Breanne Maze...born on March 29, 1996...daughter of Shawn and Sarah Maze...has three sisters, Morgan, Madison and Anna...major is health sciences.
