2021 (Spring): Started six of the team’s seven games in the spring . . . was a finalist for the Walter Payton Award, which goes to the top offensive player in all of FCS football . . . also named second team All-American by STATS Perform . . . named the SoCon’s Co-Offensive Player of the Year by the league’s coaches . . . named first team All-SoCon by both the coaches and media . . . named the Alabama Sports Writer’s Association’s Small College Athlete of the Year . . . led the Southern Conference and ranked fourth in the nation in passing yards per game, averaging 373.7 passing yards per contest . . . also led the league and ranked fifth nationally in total passing yards at 2,242 yards in just six contests . . . was the SoCon leader and ranked second in the nation in both total offense (2,545 yards) and total offense per game (424.2 ypg.) . . . also rushed 71 times for 303 yards and four touchdowns . . . threw for 311 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 83 yards and three scores against Western Carolina . . . passed for 359 yards and a touchdown against Wofford . . . set a Samford and Southern Conference record with 570 passing yards, throwing for four touchdowns against VMI . . . passed for 443 yards and a touchdown against Mercer. 

2019 (Junior): Saw action in eight games, including four starts at quarterback . . . completed 70-of-130 passes for 759 yards and six touchdowns . . . rushed 63 times for 160 yards and four touchdowns . . . completed 9-of-18 passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns in leading the team to a come-from-behind, four-overtime win over The Citadel . . . completed 14-of-27 passes for 196 yards and a touchdown against Chattanooga . . . rushed for 105 yards and passed for 115 yards at Western Carolina.

2018 (Sophomore): Played in four games as a backup quarterback . . . completed 4-of-6 passes for 24 yards and a touchdown . . . rushed four times for 10 yards . . . passed for a season-high 13 yards against Shorter . . . tossed a touchdown pass against VMI.

2017: Saw no game action . . . participated with the Bulldogs’ scout team.

2016 (Freshman): Saw action in three games as a backup quarterback . . . completed 10-of-14 passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns . . . also had two rushes for 11 yards . . . passed for 39 yards and a touchdown against Mars Hill . . . passed for 29 yards at Chattanooga.

High School: Led his team to a state title in 2013 and a spot in the title game in 2015 . . . was the 58th-ranked pro-style quarterback in the country and the fourth best in Georgia in the 2016 class . . . was named first team All-State, All-Area and All-Region as a senior . . . also won his team’s Golden Helmet award for the team’s Most Valuable Player . . . for his career, threw for 6,119 yards and 73 touchdowns, and rushed for 663 yards and 14 scores . . . finished his career with a record of 38-3 as a starter.
