Chris Landrum enters his first season as an assistant football coach at Samford.
Landrum is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a B.A. degree in liberal arts. He also holds a Master of Science in Sports Management from JSU.
Landrum was an outside linebacker in the National Football League with the Los Angeles Chargers (2016-2018) and the Houston Texans (2018-2020).
He served as a graduate assistant and student teacher at Jacksonville State from August 2016 to May 2017. Most recently, Landrum was a match teacher at Manvel High School in Manvel, Texas, from 2021 to 2025.
As a collegiate player, Landrum played two seasons at Auburn (2011-2012) and then three at Jacksonville State (2013-2015).
