Steve Adams is entering his third season on the Samford football staff. He serves the staff as director of player personnel.
Adams is involved in all aspects of the football program. He organizes all recruiting efforts, manages the team’s roster and scholarship count and he coordinates the program’s summer camps.
Adams came to Samford after serving as director of player personnel and recruiting coordinator at Murray State University from 2014 to 2018. He also served Murray State as director of football operations and special teams assistant (2013-14), and assistant recruiting coordinator (2011-14) under current Samford head coach Chris Hatcher.
During his undergraduate days at MSU, Adams was a student coach for the Racers from 2010-13. Prior to his time at Murray State, Adams was a student coach at Butler Community College in Kansas from 2008-10.
Adams earned his Bachelor of Integrated Studies degree from Murray State in 2013. He and his wife, Sara have two sons, Brayden and Bodie.
