Previous College: Played three seasons at the University of South Alabama . . . as a junior in 2015, played in 11 games, including one start on the offensive line . . . in his sophomore season, played in each of the first three games before suffering a season-ending injury . . . appeared in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman in 2013, recoring an 87 percent grade while contributing on both of the offensive line and on special teams . . . he was redshirted during the 2012 season.

High School: Earned two stars from both Scout.com and ESPN.com, was ranked 112th nationally among guards by the latter . . . ranked eighth among all guards in Alabama by ESPN.com as well . . . helped Alabama to a 31-12 victory in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic following his senior season . . . lettered three years, starting the final two, at Hoover High . . . graded out at 93 percent in his two seasons as a starter, helping the Buccaneers rush for 4,997 yards during that stretch . . . was part of a team that finished 13-2 overall after falling in the title game of the state 6A playoffs by just one point . . . an All-Metro South selection by the Birmingham News after being credited with 107 knockdowns . . . earned the Coaches Award — given to the player that best exemplifies character and leadership on and off the field — in 2011 . . . helped the Buccaneers to a 13-1 record and the state 6A championship his sophomore season, while HHS went 13-1 and fell in a one-point decision in the state title contest the following fall.
