Biography
Junior (2014-15): Earned playing time in 26 of the team’s 32 games last season and averaged 15.1 minutes per outing . . . finished the year averaging 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game and proved to be the team’s second best rebounder . . . registered his best performance of the young season at Furman on Dec. 6 with 10 points, seven rebounds and two steals . . . in only 13 minutes of playing time against Mercer on Feb. 21, he tallied nine points, three rebounds, three assists and a game-high trio of blocked shots . . . filled out the stat sheet on Nov. 23 against Missouri-Kansas City by accumulating eight points, seven rebounds, four blocked shots, an assist and a steal in 17 minutes of playing time . . . turned in a solid game at Wofford on Jan. 10, as he tallied seven points and a board in 22 minutes of action off the bench . . . scored seven points and added four rebounds at Pittsburgh on Nov. 16, as the Bulldogs nearly knocked off the Panthers, 63-56 . . . also drained a key 3-point basket at Pitt in only 17 minutes of playing time . . . pulled down a career-high nine rebounds at Mercer on Jan. 17 . . . earned his first varsity letter.
Junior College: Averaged 9.9 points and 8.7 rebounds per game at Lamar State College . . . started in 31 of the team’s 32 contests and drained 42.9 percent of his 3-point attempts . . . finished his sophomore season ranked No. 27 in the nation with 183 defensive rebounds . . . also listed at No. 32 in the country with 277 total boards . . . in his first game at LSC, he tallied a double-double by scoring 10 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
High School: Prepped at Pflugerville High School in Pflugerville, Texas . . . earned all-district and all-state honors in both his sophomore and junior seasons . . . averaged 11.8 points and 5.2 rebounds as a junior . . . helped lead the Panthers to a stellar 29-5 overall record, including an unblemished 12-0 mark against district opponents . . . did not compete for PHS as a senior, because his eligibility had been exhausted after playing varsity as an eighth grader at Summit Christian Academy . . . not just a gifted athlete, he always excelled in the classroom and was selected to advance two academic grades in elementary school . . . at one point, he was on pace to graduate from high school at 16 years old.
